Good mainstream press coverage of Superintelligence and early precedent for regulating AI research

These articles in the mainstream press are giving decent coverage of the dangers and opportunities of AI research without making big mistakes or presenting weak counter arguments:

It seems like Bostrom, Hawking and Musk are quickly starting to have an impact on our public debate and awareness of these issues.  I think that is pretty hopeful.  If this becomes an area of intense research and concern (similar to climate change) perhaps we will survive the singularity after all!
